Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY)

Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth (SAVRY)

The SAVRY (Structured Assessment of Violence Risk in Youth) is a risk assessment tool that rates four risk domains (Historical Risk Factors, Social/Contextual Risk Factors, Individual/Clinical Factors, and Protective Factors).  These are drawn from existing research and the professional literature on adolescent development as well as on violence and aggression in youth. There are also protective factors that include prosocial involvement, strong social support, strong attachments & bonds, positive attitude towards authority, a strong commitment to school, and resilient personality traits.
